[Re]Waste

Russia’s New Platform for the Circular Economy

[Re]Waste is a new international exhibition dedicated to secondary raw materials, products made from recycled materials, and recycling technologies and equipment. The inaugural exposition was first presented at WasteTech 2025, and the standalone exhibition is scheduled to take place in September 2027 at the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Centre in Moscow (Pavilion 2, Halls 7 and 8).

A New Beginning for Waste

The exhibition’s tagline captures its core mission: “Here, waste becomes a new beginning”. [Re]Waste is positioned as more than just an exhibition — it is described as a “revolution in thinking” that demonstrates how the closed-loop economy works in practice. Instead of sending materials to landfills, the focus is on transforming them into valuable resources and new products.

Part of WasteTech 2027

[Re]Waste serves as a specialised section within the broader WasteTech exhibition, alongside two other focused expositions:

  • ScrapExpo — dedicated to the collection and processing of ferrous and non-ferrous metal scrap
  • LuftTek — focused on air pollution prevention, aspiration and gas cleaning systems

This strategic positioning allows [Re]Waste to benefit from the significant scale and audience of WasteTech, which attracts over 7,000 specialists from more than 70 Russian regions and representatives from 10 countries. The 2026 edition of WasteTech saw over 13.4 billion rubles in contracts signed, underscoring the event’s commercial impact.

What the Exhibition Covers

[Re]Waste covers the full spectrum of recycling and secondary materials processing. Key thematic sections include:

Technologies and Equipment for Recycling:

  • Plastics (granulation and compounding)
  • Cardboard and paper
  • Glass
  • Rubber and tyres
  • Metals
  • Electronic scrap
  • Petroleum products and oils

Production of Raw Materials from Secondary Sources:

Strategic Importance for Industry

[Re]Waste is positioned as a platform for concluding contracts for the supply of recycling equipment and technologies with leading companies from all sectors of industry and production. The exhibition is particularly relevant for:

  • Petrochemical and metallurgical companies using recycled materials in production processes
  • Pulp and paper industry enterprises
  • Packaging manufacturers
  • Waste processing and disposal complexes
  • NGOs and foundations working in environmental protection and recycling promotion
  • Local and federal government representatives involved in ecology and waste management
  • Investors interested in financing recycling and sustainable development projects

The Circular Economy Context

The 2027 edition of [Re]Waste takes place as Russia transitions toward a circular economy and reforms its municipal solid waste management system. The exhibition serves as a venue where new standards are formed and key contracts are established, reflecting the growing demand for recycling technologies and waste processing solutions.

[Re]Waste 2027 represents a significant new addition to Russia’s environmental technology landscape. As part of the larger WasteTech exhibition, it offers a focused platform for professionals involved in secondary materials processing, recycling technology, and the circular economy to discover innovations, establish partnerships, and contribute to the transformation of waste into valuable resources.
