Russia’s Premier Trade Fair for Interior Fabrics and Home Textiles
Hometextile & Design, Russia’s largest and most established international trade fair for interior fabrics, home textiles, and integrated design and decor solutions, will hold its 28th edition from September 22-24, 2026 at the Timiryazev Centre in Moscow. Organised by Gefera Media, the exhibition has a 28-year legacy of uniting professionals in the interior design and textile industry.
A New Chapter: From Heimtextil Russia to Hometextile & Design
The exhibition’s history dates back to 1999 when it launched as Heimtextil Russia, the regional version of the internationally renowned Heimtextil trade show held in Frankfurt. For over a decade, it grew to become Russia’s undisputed leader in interior fabric and home textile exhibitions. In 2022, following Messe Frankfurt’s sale of its Russian assets to local management, the event was rebranded as Hometextile & Design. This rebranding reflected an expanded concept: the exhibition now covers not only textiles but also the full spectrum of solutions for residential and commercial interior design — from furniture and decor to zoning materials.
Exhibition Scale and Audience
The 2025 edition at Crocus Expo demonstrated the event’s substantial market impact: 200+ exhibitors from 11 countries, 14,755 visitors from 33 countries and 87 Russian regions, and 70+ speakers participating in the business programme.
Visitor Profile: The exhibition attracts a diverse and influential audience of decision-makers, including:

Strategic Importance for International Exhibitors
Hometextile & Design is described as “the largest specialised B2B platform in Russia” for interior and upholstery fabrics, home textiles, and integrated design solutions. For international exhibitors, the exhibition offers direct access to a concentrated audience of professional buyers, decision-makers from leading retail chains, marketplace representatives, and distributors.
A 2025 participant noted: “We have been participating in the exhibition for the 17th time, as we believe that if a brand does not participate in the central event of the industry, it is not visible on the market”.
Another exhibitor commented: “We have noticed that the exhibition is growing and becoming more diverse every year. In recent years, the exhibition has become particularly attractive to interior designers. We are pleased that our new customers want more custom items and exclusive fabrics”.
A first-time participant from Mogoteks observed: “We have found the same atmosphere and community here as at Heimtextil. We had high expectations after participating in the European exhibition, and these expectations were generally met”.
